The LLNB Lending Library is a permanent training collection to be used for short-term loans to Laubach councils and trainers so that materials can be previewed prior to purchasing. Materials include Smart Solutions Math, Voyager, Learning Disabilities, and Training by Design. The LLNB Lending Library List of Materials was distributed to LLNB Councils and trainers at the 2001 LLNB AGM. Councils or trainers with no outstnding loans can borrow materials from the Lending Library by contacting the Field Services Coordinator, Julie Kean Marks. At bjkmarks@nbnet.nb.ca or by calling 1-877-633-8899 (toll free). The loan period is 30 days maximum and the return postage is the responsibility of the borrower.

What are LLC's new Training Modules?

Laubach Literacy of Canada has developed a set of training modules that can be presented to councils. If you would like to have one of these workshops presented to your council members, contact Julie Kean Marks at bjkmarks@nbnet.nb.ca or by calling 1-877-633-8899 (toll free), or Diane Hunt at dianehu@nbnet.nb.ca or 357-7085. The training workshops, each about 3 hours long, are as follows:

Cultivating Student Leadership in Your Council is designed to help a group of adult Laubach students create a local student group, TREE, Teamwork to Raise Education and Equality.

imageStrategic Fundraising is designed to assist Laubach councils to secure sufficient funds to carry out council activities.

How to Maintain a Laubach Literacy Council is designed to assist Laubach councils to understand and implement LLC's National Quality Standards.

Public Relations and Publicity is designed to help Laubach councils plan and institute a successful publicity campaign to generate public awareness and to recruit learners and tutors.

Recruiting, Selecting and Supporting Volunteers is designed to help Laubach councils recruit and keep volunteers.

Student Recruitment is designed to help Laubach Literacy Councils recruit students.

Student-Tutor Coordination is designed to help Laubach Literacy Councils with student-tutor coordination.
